Good Morning/afternoon/evening dear friends,
ICO this is another Strategy to make some profit in the Crypto space.
1. What does "crowdfunding" mean exactly?
-Crowd funding, an ico is when you buy their tokens, when you buy with cc, crypto, you are funding their project. So is like buying some share in their project. Because you believe their project would work and help expand the crypto future and help society
2. What quality and credible websites or sources do you use successfully to locate good ICOs? Websites and sources that filter out all the scam ICOs that may be floating around so we can all protect ourselves from being scammed. Do the ICOs sell out very quickly, withing minutes? If so, how can we get in before the token sale ends? Any ideas?
-Credible website, you can search https://www.icoalert.com or https://icobench.com or https://www.coinschedule.com https://cointelegraph.com/ico-calendar, there you can find heaps of ico with dates when and how long to go before it closes and also some past ico... vetting out the good from the bad that everyone still have to read thru and do research. All time and dates are on there just have to keep tabs on the ones that “speak to you”...
3. During the ICOs, how do you pay to invest? Use BTC, ETH or fiat? If ETHER, where exactly must it be paid from? Exodus PC wallet work? Can't send direct from an exchange?
-Paying for an ico, it would be like buying stuff retail, it would depend on which currency they accept, most of them would take ETH... as most of them are ETH base platform. But there are ico that takes fiat/cc/btc.
When paying with crypto always from your own wallet that you hold your private keys, never from an exchange, as they will send your newly bought tokens to the same address you use to buy the tokens...
4. What is the bonus or reward for investing into an ICO compared to later buying the tokens?
- 70% of ico will reach 2x, 40% would reach 5x, 20% will reach 10x, 3% will reach 100x... that is once they hit or being listed the market.. some are long term some are short term gain.. again depends on your value
5. Once the company raises enough capital through ICOs, what happens next? They use that funding to build the project and hopefully it will become good and then they eventually list the tokens on exchanges for others to buy?
- it all depends on the company how they manage the funds.. some while the ico is going in there is already movement behind the scenes... basically like a fund raiser, for a project, some project has been already happening and still raising funds.. :)
6. Is there a minimum amount of Ether we have to invest with? -there is a minimum amount required, most information can be found on the company's website. It can be as low as 0.1 Ethereum for some ICO's
best way to learn is register for one or a few you dont have to participate in the ICO just to see how it works on the back... and you can compare
hope that helps.. and adds value to your journey.. Again please do your research on this, dont just swallow what I just post... if you see any thing that I have not mention or information is not right add in the comments.
Cheers
